Before You Arrive

  1. Dress appropriately. The rink is cold so don't forget to wear layers and comfortable athletic clothing.

  2. Helmets are recommended for all skaters in addition to gloves, socks that come above the ankles, and extra padding.

  3. Leave your pucks and sticks at home, but feel free to wear full hockey gear if you would like.

Once You’re Here

Ice skating is for fun and enjoyment for everyone. Regardless of your level of skill, we ask that safety is always put first.  Use common sense, be alert and show courtesy to others.

Tips for a successful Public Skate Experience:

  1. Skaters will be issued a wristband that they must keep on and visible during the public skate session.

  2. Stay in control, and be able to stop or avoid other skaters.

  3. While on the ice, keep moving.  Don't stop where you obstruct other skaters.

  4. Remember, people ahead of you have the right of way.  It is your responsibility to avoid hitting them or disrupting them.

  5. No speeding or weaving in and around other skaters.

  6. No running, horseplay or rough housing.

  7. Keep exits clear.  Before getting on the ice, look for oncoming skaters.

  8. No eating, drinking, or vaping/smoking on the ice.

  9. Stay off the ice when resurfacing is in progress.

  10. All skaters must wear skates while on the ice. No street shoes allowed on the rink.

  11. Obey the rink assistants and report potential hazards to the nearest staff member.

  12. Respect the facility.  Please do not litter or use foul language.

  13. You are ultimately responsible for your personal safety and belongings.

Failure to use good judgment, skate responsibility, or follow the above code of conduct will result in the loss of skating privileges and you may be asked to leave the facility.
